The Sarpass trek

  • What is sarpass?

The Sar Pass is in Parvati Valley of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, a state of India. Sar, in the local dialect, means a lake. While trekking, across the path from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one has to pass by a small, frozen lake and hence the name Sar Pass Trek.

What is trekking!!?

Trekking is a form of walking, undertaken with the specific purpose of exploring and enjoying the scenery.  Peace of mind kind of thing.

One of the best summer trek with the longest slide. It starts with kasol & ends at barshaini village. Trekking in Himalayas in India is the most beautiful & very adventurous  life time experience.

Basic ratio of campsite's hight:

Base camp kasol:5 hrs.- 5500 feet
Grahan camp       :5hrs.- 7700 feet
Padri camp           :6hrs.- 9300 feet
Mingthatch camp:6hrs.-11200feet
Nagaru camp       :5hrs.-12500feet
Beskari camp       :8hrs.-11000feet
Bhandakthatch camp   :8000  feet
Barshaini village camp:7250  feet

That's not something you are good at,
It's something you do like breathing.

"Uss..hawa me kuchh baat hi alag thi.."

Sometimes it's the journey  that teaches you a lot about your destination!!
It makes you fall in love with yourself & your life.
After crossing the12500 feet of sarpass via nagaru. It felt like Edmund Hillary.
A day never goes by without sharing a laugh with your friendly trek crew, meeting other trekkers, or lively conversations with the rest of the group at meal times.

Despite all I have seen & experienced I still get the thrill out of glimpsing a patch of snow.

Trekking teaches you certain things:
Importance of water
Rise above yourself, there is a bigger world ahead that awaits you.
Minimalism. Live simple & beautiful live.
How to be rough& tough all the times.
Importance of own life.
kindness & humbleness.
